It’s that time again! Time to dig out the recipes and make some stuff! The Holidays always bring good things to mind. Tried and true old favorites and maybe trying out some new ones are always a good thing. And it’s always nice if you have all the ingredients right there in your cupboard. But then again, we always need a good reason to go shopping! Right?!!! Good job saving those scraps!
I’ve had this design in my head for a while now but it has taken some time to work out the details. I’ve had to adjust an old favorite and invent a new one. I don’t recall ever seeing a block quite like this so I hope I’m not stepping on any designer’s copywriter toes. Sorry, if I’m guilty I’ll be happy to give you credit. This mystery quilt still needs a name. I can’t decide whether to call it “Scrappy French Fries” which it kind of looks like or something less fun like “Mountains of Scraps”. How about if you decide. I know it is difficult since you can’t see the end product but what do you think? Let me know on Facebook. We’ll take a poll. Funky French Fries or Funky Mountains would work too. You pick the name of this one!
Oh, and if you were wondering……the featured picture up there is the view of Fawn Lake taken from the kitchen window at camp. No, I’m not there. They are predicting a bit of snow this weekend and COLD!. I’m staying warm at home although we are supposed to get measurable snow this weekend too. But it’s still too cold for me!
BTW this is the 14th mystery!! I can’t believe I’ve been plugging along inventing mystery quilts this long. We’ve gone from subjecting a handful of friends in my quilting guild to building a website and now on Facebook with well over 3000 member/friends! Who ever would have guessed?!
